How long will it take to complete the job?
A refinishing or basic sanding job usually takes 5-6 days depending on how large or small the area is.
If new wood is being installed, the installation could take about 3
days, depending on the size. Then the wood has to sit and acclimate for
a couple of days before the sanding can begin.
Will there be a big mess to clean up? Will there be a lot of dust?
This is a surprisingly clean process considering what the job
entails. We use a vacuum system that eliminates 95% of the dust.
Plastic is put over doorways and windows and other precautions are to
taken to eliminate any other dust. How do I take care of the floor?
We provide a bottle of cleaner with each job. I will go over
cleaning instructions with each customer and answer any questions you
may have. General maintenance is minimal. Use a damp mop as needed and
once every other week or so use the cleaner to clean the floor.
What do I need to do if the floor gets scratched?
Usually a scuffing with steel wool and a touch up with polyurethane
is needed. Some deeper scratches will need sanding to repair. |
